It gazes
from on high to the Aegean, rested in green. According to
the historian G. Kordatos, the name of the village originates
from a corruption of the word "chrissos" (that means
"gold"). The church
of Agia Marina in Kissos is the most important basilika
of Pelion with a woodcut screen and frescoes by Pagonis (a
known painter).
